GAPS's Port Hueneme vehicle processing facility is located on the Naval Construction Battalion Center (US Navy Base) in Port Hueneme, (pronounced 'Y-ne' me') California. Port Hueneme is located 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles and 30 miles south of Santa Barbara. Port Hueneme is the only "deep water" port between Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay.
The U.S. Navy and vehicle processing is a well established partnership. Vehicle processing began "on base" over twenty-five years ago and continues to provide significant advantages to both the U.S. Navy and GAPS.
Major automotive manufacturers and distributors including Jaguar, Volvo, Land Rover, Suzuki, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Daewoo, BMW, and Saab are imported via Port Hueneme.
Our facility is approved as a Foreign Trade Zone and can be activated upon request.
